Help preserve and save our liberties, freedoms, culture, founding values, and Constitutional Republic.

“Restoring America’s Christian Foundations”

from the Institute on the Constitution,
Beginning Sunday, April 20, 2008, through July 20, 2008; except for Mother's Day May 11th and Homecoming
June 29th.
Starting promptly at 4pm.

The series will be held in the Fellowship Hall at Macland Baptist Church, Powder Springs, GA, and go for 12 sessions.  (see directions below and exceptions above)

The study will review our nation’s Christian heritage, how God’s hand was involved in the birth of our nation, the Judeo-Christian foundations of our culture, our laws, and our form of government. The study will include a series of 25-minute videos by John Eidsmoe as he presents our history beginning with Christopher Columbus and concluding with a study of our Constitution.

Each lesson will last approximately 1.5 hours.

Professor Eidsmoe is a prolific writer including "Christianity and the Constitution", lecturer, historian, professor of Constitutional law, ordained minister, and has served as one of Judge Roy Moore’s attorneys.

The study will also include video presentations by one of our nation's foremost Christian historians, David Barton, from his DVD series including “Keys to Good Government" & "The Foundations of American Government.”  (CLICK HERE for more info on David Barton and Wallbuilders.)

A workbook will be available that includes all the course material. The course will include plenty of Q & A.
This important study is free, however, the workbook is $30 (our cost) for those who would like to have a record of the course with all the Q & A. The workbook is easily shared by couples.

This course is important for elected officials as well as equipping citizens to be able to hold our representatives accountable to the limits we have placed upon our Federal Government through our Constitution.  Sadly all three branches of our Federal Government have ignored their Constitutional limits, and allowed our founding values to go by the wayside.

This course is critical to the understanding needed to return to and preserve the heritage so many of our founders suffered, sacrificed, and died for, that we have enjoyed, that our posterity deserves, and that is necessary for our nation's future freedoms.

Please join us at this important and exciting event!

John Adams said:

"Statesmen my dear Sir, may plan and speculate for Liberty, but it is Religion and Morality alone, which can establish the Principles upon which Freedom can securely stand. ... The only foundation of a free Constitution, is pure Virtue, and if this cannot be inspired into our People, in a great Measure, than they have it now, They may change their Rulers, and the forms of Government, but they will not obtain a lasting Liberty."
The Federalist Patriot daily quotes, 9-20-04 1 , 2 , 3

John Quincy Adams said:

"Posterity -- you will never know how much it has cost my generation to preserve your freedom. I hope you will make good use of it." 1 , 2 , 3

John Q. Adams said: (Independence Day, 1837, in a speech celebrating the 50th anniversary of our U.S. Constitution, and emphasizing the importance of our charter - the Declaration of Independence.)

"Why is it that, next to the birthday of the Savior of the world, your most joyous and most venerated festival returns on this day?   Is it not that, in the chain of human events, the birthday of the nation is indissolubly linked with the birthday of the Savior? ... Is it not that the Declaration of Independence first organized the social compact on the foundation of the Redeemer's mission upon earth?   That it laid the cornerstone of human government upon the first precepts of Christianity and gave to the world the first irrevocable pledge of the fulfillment of the prophecies announced directly from Heaven at the birth of the Savior and predicted by the greatest of the Hebrew prophets 600 years before?" 1 , 2 , 3

Justice Joseph Story, appointed to the Supreme Court by James Madison, founder of Harvard Law School, and considered to be the father of our American jurisprudence, said:

“I verily believe Christianity necessary to the support of civil society.   One of the beautiful boasts of our municipal jurisprudence is that Christianity is a part of the Common Law….   There never has been a period in which Common Law did not recognize Christianity as lying its foundations.” 1 , 2 , 3

John Adams from his Oct. 13, 1789 address to the military:

"We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge, or gallantry would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net.  Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people.  It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."  1 , 2 , 3
